Instructional Technology Services

The Monroe #1 BOCES Instructional Technology Specialists provide services to component districts through the Instructional Computing (519) and Model Schools (521) Co-Sers. In order to enhance student learning, we are dedicated to providing teachers with quality staff development and support through the use of educational technologies.

Our goal is to provide educators with the information and resources they need to improve student learning through the use of technology. Summer/Fall 2008 Offerings

The Summer/Fall 2008 catalog of courses for Monroe #1 BOCES Staff Development is now available.  The BOCES ITS have many offerings under the Educational Technology heading including several courses on Blogging, Podcasting, Wikis, Using Digital Media in the Classroom, Community Projects with Technology, and the summer Technology, Learning and Technology Conference.  

GPS: Bringing the Classroom Outdoors

Take your class out of this world by using the Global Positioning System (GPS).  You will learn the basics of using GPS, experience a classroom outdoors and learn ways you can implement GPS outside your classroom.
